2. Hosting and server logs

When the website is accessed, the server processes technically necessary information such as IP address, date and time, requested address, data volume, referrer and browser identifier. This supports secure, stable delivery and abuse prevention based on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Logs are retained only as needed for operations, security and error analysis unless a security incident requires longer retention.

3. Assignment form and email

The form processes the contact and assignment information you enter: company, name, phone, email, location, date, service requirement and optional details about vessel or facility, duration, headcount, qualifications and additional requirements. Processing is needed to handle your request and pre-contractual communication under Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. Data is sent to our email system. Required fields are marked.

Form information is deleted when the request and follow-up are complete unless statutory retention duties or legitimate reasons require continued storage.

4. Abuse prevention

Technical checks and rate limits protect the form. IP address and time may be processed briefly to prevent spam and attacks under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR.

5. External content, cookies and analytics

Fonts and images are served locally. No analytics or advertising tracking is currently embedded, and no non-essential cookies are set.

6. Recipients

Access is limited to people and technical providers who need it for hosting, email or handling the request. Providers processing personal data on our behalf are used in accordance with data-protection requirements. Information is not shared for third-party advertising.

7. Your rights

Subject to legal requirements, you have rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. Consent may be withdrawn for the future. Contact info@bordwache.de. You may also complain to a data-protection authority.

8. Changes

This notice will be updated if the website, services or legal requirements change.

9. Applications

For an application, we process name, contact details, place of residence, preferred role, availability, professional experience, qualifications, languages, mobility, optional messages and, if supplied, the PDF CV. Processing is necessary to decide whether to establish an employment relationship under Section 26(1) of the German Federal Data Protection Act. Application data that is no longer required is deleted after the process once no statutory retention duties or legitimate reasons justify limited further storage. The CV is sent only as an email attachment and is not stored in the website directory.
